My heart goes 2x-3x as fast as it should when I go from laying down to standing up. My doc thinks it could be POTS. I’m thinking if I have it and if my anxiety meds don’t work imma talk to my doc about a Service dog. My heart rate goes up really fast causing me to occasionally faint then leads to a panic attack after. I get dizzy after walking for a while and or standing. And I just feel like I could benefit off of a SD. I have my dad on my side (he suggested one first) I just need to ask my mom and stepdad, and if they are on board then I’ll talk to my doctor. I just feel like she’s gonna say no but I think it’s mainly bc of my anxiety disorder (I have a bad case of GAD.) what should I do?

My doctor said migraine sufferers were notorious for "hoarding" meds. I like how you explain that we're pushed into that by insurances that approve only limited amounts of meds, causing us to be reluctant to risk using one of our precious meds on something that has a chance of going away by itself. This has totally been my situation for about 35 years.

Girrrrrrrl I wish I could have a long convo with you about jaws/tongues. My jaw journey is long, 20 years at this point. I only JUST learned I have a tongue tie yesterday. I can’t believe that, after all the specialists I’ve seen and issues I’ve had. I’d love to chat with you more about your history and experience 😂 My new-to-me Dr has a plan I might go for. I’m shy with “permanent” changes with my teeth and jaw because I have a great smile and great teeth, BUT what he’s proposing makes sense. Sleep study, then Invisalign to widen my smile. He says palates are fine but the smile is narrow on the and my tongue can’t fit, which he feels he could make fit but the widened smile plus tongue tie release. The release isn’t a sure thing in his plan. He wants me to start myo therapy halfway through wearing trays, then evaluate if I should get released. I know a release can’t be undone but if trays don’t work I imagine I can do something to put my teeth back like they always were… I’m on IG if you feel like reaching out. Always down for a talk about the mouth - lord knows my husband is tired of me talking about it 😅

I’ve had it for around 7 years now with the doctors not wanting to treat anything as my “body is doing its own shunt” I’ve now been put on weight loss injections as some evidence indicates it can help lower the pressure (also via weight loss) I just wanted to see if they had even given you any indication of treatment for the leak itself? It’s so scary 😢

I’ve had rem sleep stage tachycardia (only) for several years. Recently my vision is worsening with double vision and occasional stars. For 23 days both arms have been numb to varying degrees and I now suffer hemiplegic migraine symptoms directly after each tachycardia episode. MRI shows no new stroke, I’ve suffered 2. 23 days of ringing ears. I have migraines and headaches chronically but lately these symptoms don’t seem migrainous. History of migraine and anxiety has doctors hyper focused that these are the cause. Issues improve when vertical and worsen when horizontal. So many similar symptoms to what’s expressed in this video. Will be discussing this with a neurologist on Tuesday. Also, a weird symptom - I get worse when I leave my house and go outside into big spaces. I’m NOT agoraphobic. But if I go outside too long I get extremely exhausted and am worn out that night. It’s strange.

If you have any tips for training- please let me know. My dog is still a pup, but he has been really trainable.

I just had a consultation with a myofunctional therapist yesterday and she diagnosed with a grade 3 tongue tie. I have forward head posture, get migraines, experience tight neck/shoulders/traps, and have a hard time breathing through my nose. You video was the first one that came up searching for "frenectomy results"! This is a really helpful video - thank you for sharing!! I feel like you experienced a lot of the stuff I'm also experiencing. I also have a more narrow upper palate. So I'm hoping that the myofunctional therapy helps with that before and after the frenectomy.

I am going through something very similar right now. My arms and legs have been varying degrees of numbness for over 3 weeks and I’ve had inappropriate sinus tachycardia that seems to be related somehow. Doctors believe it’s anxiety and migraine. But I don’t believe that “guess”.

She said she would refer me to a neurologist but in BC the waiting time is 3-5 years if your Dr says it's "non urgent" I would like to learn more about leaking. Sounds strange but cluster headaches aren't called Suicide headaches for nothing and I would try anything at this point.

You are the first person who has described what I go thru. My c2…unstable, vagus nerve problems, the throat thing you talked about…I’ve had that happen. I am about 7 weeks into a flare that has centered around severe occipital pain, tightening and burning/nerve pain. I see an atlas chiropractor but I feel like something is being missed in my c2. I am getting tmj treatment for rather severe symptoms and it’s so debilitating at times I’ve had to go on fmla which thankfully in my state they pay you. Looking for other providers as many of mine have retired or moved. I will say I saw a PT who specialized in neural manipulation from Barral Institute and if you are someone who is suffering in this way try to find a provider who does this. It helped so much. She balanced my vagus nerve and dura and was able release some of the occipital tension but she moved and I’ve tried two others to know they are not for me. I’m gonna see a neurologist just so I can get an MRI of my upper cervical. Most meds of any kind don’t work for this type of pain. The most pain relief I get is when my neck is in alignment and the adjustments holds. Just two cents to my story ✌️❤

Good for you... But... I had 3 myelograms, each followed by fast CT, with enough contrast to bring on vomiting... Next day, 45 ml untargetted EBP, which was pretty much like having two or three heart attacks... I had to ask them to pause two or three times, with level 9 pain ... The following year, I was lucky enough to have another try at diagnosing my apparent SIH leak... again, sadly, no diagnosis. I had another EBP, 50 mL, and this time was, comparatively, s breeze.(Sadly, no improvement, I have a very rare, and "refractory to diagnosis ") Nurses told me that the procedure is quite variable, and patients have different pain thresholds, and some came back in tears, others, "no sweat". Only so that patients are prepared for some pain, and, if it's tough, ask for a short pause... even a minute pause helps a lot. Don't be freaked out about it, just be prepared for a range of possibilities, and think about the upside of the possible improvement in your life.

Dear Jen, I have the same problem. It was initially caused by an epidural X-ray contrast called Pantopaque an and X-ray called a Myelogram (pre MRI days of 1977). The drug is poisonous to many patients and can cause Progressive Adhesive Arachnoiditis. This in turn causes daily extreme leg and lower back pain and in turn causes inter cranial pressure fluctuations and BP fluctuations. I was cured of the migraines as they were in fact caused by high BP. I had a laminectomy to fix my ruptured disk discovered by the neurosurgeon using the Myelogram. However the damage from Pantopaque was done. It’s incurable. I’m 68 and had it since 1977. Had many epidurals for anti inflammatory pain relief. I researched numbers of U.K. patients with chronic back pain post Pantopaque withdrawal for sale and numbers did not show significant decline. Many women have multiple children with epidural pain management. The spinal outer sheath is extremely sensitive so potentially epidurals are not as low risk as advertised. I used a continuous BP monitor to show my high BP / migraine episodes. These are now controlled. Arachnoiditis can cause many diverse and strange symptoms in a patients body. So if you have had a few epidural treatments a scan for Arachnoiditis or spinal scarring could help you more towards your full diagnosis. Good luck.

This is very nice to listen to. Thank you for posting. I laughed very hard. I have dysautonomia (not POTS) and migraines. The symptoms in your ear sound very migraine-like, i call the ear wooshing a "head rush". It is terrible. Also my sinusses are effected and my nose and eyes start running. My migraine begins in my eyes but eventually my ears become sensitive too, but like you said.... I am hypermobile too due to EDS. Thank you soooooo much for sharing this. I try to give dogs as much space as I can since I don’t know if they are aggressive, but at a mall (that was not pet-friendly), a large black German Shepherd jumped out from behind a kiosk as we were passing by. Luckily, I had enough space that it didn’t make contact with my service dog, it continued to bark as we quickly walked away. This is the kind of thing that happens to service dog handlers and it makes going out even more stressful than it already is, even at a place that you would think would be safe.
